I love the stories and histories behind old things. One of my favorite finds is an 8” tall brass snail. It reminds me it’s okay to go slow.
I realized one day that a lot of what I like to collect are things to put things in. Baskets, old boxes, vases, planters, old tins. At LAM, I primarily sell vintage pottery. Flower pots and vases are a common household item that hold beautiful plants and flowers- something everyone enjoys having in their home, but when it’s in a vintage piece of pottery, it takes it to another level.
I don’t mind chips and cracks because no one is perfect and it’s a reminder of how hard those vessels have worked in their previous lives. I truly enjoy sharing the things I see as beautiful and it’s a joy to find a place to sell my finds that is filled with other vendors who feel the same.
